The venue has recently undergone a redevelopment worth £2.1m and was funded by Islington Council, the Premier League and Arsenal Football Club. Football players are able to book 5-a-side or 11-a-side pitches. All the pitches at Market Road are a 3G astroturf surface and there are also changing facilities available for players and teams. The venue is situated next door to Islington Tennis Centre so the best way to get here using public transport is travelling via the Piccadilly line to Caledonian Road, just one stop away from Kings Cross.

The partnership has a strong focus on growing participation, reducing health inequalities and improving social inclusion.
