The sports hall is kept in excellent condition all-year round by venue staff, adding to your experience. Highfield Academy offers free parking and changing facilities to customers, but Blackpool Pleasure Beach train station is situated just a few minutes walk away. Premier League and FA grant

More women in Blackpool are playing football than ever before, thanks to a little help from the Premier League and FA. In March 2019, an investment of £576,000 was outlaid to build a new state-of-the-art 3G astroturf pitch at Unity Academy Blackpool. The pitch will help support over 20 local female teams over the next 5 years.

Blackpool Enterprise Zone

As part of Blackpool’s continued development of sport, the town has recently developed plans to incorporate a state-of-the-art sports village as part of a £28.8m project for a Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone. The village will include 2 3G football pitches, 10 grass football pitches, indoor tennis and netball courts, a fitness studio and much more. By 2023, sport should be thriving within the famous seaside resort.
